What this covers
An even bite wears more slowly, cleans more easily and puts less strain on the jaw joints. That is the case for orthodontics before anyone mentions how it looks.
We scan rather than take impressions, so there is no tray of material and no gagging. From that scan we build a simulation of how the teeth will move, and you see the projected finish at the consultation before committing to anything.
Teeth have to be healthy before they can be moved: gum disease and untreated decay both get worse under orthodontic appliances. That assessment comes first, and occasionally it delays the start — which is a great deal better than discovering it halfway through.
